Rookie detective Park Sun-woo and veteran Violent Crimes Investigation Unit detective Seo Do-cheol are on the hunt for a serial killer who has shaken up their world
Following Betarang (2015).
I saw this film at the Cannes Film Festival this year – and what started out as a movie to fill my free time turned out to be the best film I saw at Cannes this year!
(And I saw Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindness and Paul Schrader’s Oh Canada!.) This film had everything a good film should have – great acting, a good plot, crazy comedy, great action sequences, all with great pacing and comedic timing.
The film is about a team of special cases investigators in a Korean police department who investigate a serial killer with a unique modus operandi
The film was subtitled, of course, but the whole audience was cracking up with laughter the entire time and applauding heartily at the end of the film.
Give it a try!
You usually expect a movie to be dark and disturbing, but you’ll be surprised at how light and comical all those scenes were.
