When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was prepared to audition for people like Ford.
Eventually, Goldstein spoke to Ford and sold him the role
Segel told Goldstein that they should at least take it to Ford first, because they thought he would immediately reject it, but at least others would hear that Harrison Ford was involved in the project, which also piqued the interest of other major actors. His dry delivery is the best
Harrison Ford is simply amazing in this show! His outrageous behavior and sharp tongue are now my life goals as I reach my senior years. He’s hilarious and I need more of that in my life!!!
This show is very beautifully written
Also, if you’re a Jason Segel fan, you won’t be disappointed. It has well-developed characters who deal with real issues. He brings all the feels and makes you want more each week.
