A Taste of Mango, Chloe Abrahams' The debut feature film is an enveloping, hypnotic, intensely personal meditation on family, memory, personality, violence and love. In its center are three extraordinary women: the mother of director Rozan; her grandmother Jean; and the director herself. Their stories, sometimes complex and sometimes joyful, testify to the complex and ever-changing nature of inheritance and how we simultaneously hurt and protect those we love.
